History and Growth
Maintenance-Free Outdoor Solutions, Inc. (MFOS) began in 1994 when Tim and Bryan came up with the concept of offering a variety of maintenance-free products to customers in the metropolitan St. Louis area. Tim learned of some new maintenance-free fence and deck products coming out onto the market, and proposed the idea to Bryan of partnering their efforts to sell these products. 

In January of 1995, both Tim and Bryan quit their full time jobs, and went into business for themselves.  They started out leasing a small building in Fenton, Missouri located in the West Lark Industrial Park.  A couple of years later as their business grew they doubled their warehouse space in the industrial park.  Then, when the vinyl and aluminum fence markets really took off in the late 1990's, MFOS quickly outgrew their Fenton location and began to look for a new and more permanent location.  In 2000 they moved into a highly visible location in Arnold, Missouri.  They continue to operate their business from this location.  You can see MFOS from Interstate 55, just south of the Richardson Rd. exit.

MFOS has grown its business for over a decade by focusing on satisfying our customer’s needs.  As a matter of record, there has never been a Better Business Bureau complaint registered against MFOS in the history of our company.  After conducting several thousand installation and material only transactions with the general public, this track record is clear evidence that MFOS is a friendly and easy to work with company.  Our sales staff takes great pride in matching the customers to the product(s) that will best meet their needs.  Our experienced installers provide professional installations that they and their customers are both proud of.  MFOS has a full vinyl fence, deck, and railing fabrication facility to add to the level of customer service that we’re able to provide to our customers. Not only are we able to offer custom styles, but we’re also able to specially fabricate material that will accommodate the hilly St. Louis terrain.  We also keep our most popular styles of aluminum & vinyl fencing, and vinyl & composite deck and rail products in stock so you can either pick up or have your items delivered to your location in a timely manner. 

MFOS Today
MFOS continues to revolutionize the St. Louis fence, deck, and rail market.  We have just recently brought on-line two new exciting types of fence products.  The first new item is SimTek's Simulated Stone Fence.  This product looks and feels like a real stone wall!  It is already becoming a very popular and fast selling product.  MFOS is proud to be the exclusive fence dealer in the St. Louis area to carry the “Nicest Looking Fence on the Planet”.  The second item is a new style from CertainTeed’s Bufftech Vinyl Fence line.  CertainTeed has taken their style call the Chesterfield and added CertaGrain texture to it.  This authentic wood grain texture is exclusively offered by CertainTeed, and is currently available in the colors of Autumn Brown, Natural Clay, Colonial White, and Sierra Blend.

In addition to our vinyl deck and rail products that we’ve been offering for years, MFOS brought on board in 2006 the entire line of TimberTech’s Deck and Rail products.  TimberTech, a leader in the composite deck and rail market, has many new products to offer.  Besides the very popular Floorizon VertiGrain tongue and groove deck board, TimberTech has just recently begun to offer three beautiful new colors to provide the look of tropical hardwood.  The Tropical Teak, Tropical Rosewood, and Tropical Walnut colors have a natural appearance, and need to be seen to be appreciated. In addition to the Tropical Earthwoods, TimberTech will be offering for 2008 a new ultra-low maintenance deck board called XLM. This scratch and mildew resistant product will be offered in the colors of Mountain Cedar, River Rock, and Sand Ridge, and will have two slip resistant wood grain patterns to choose from.  TimberTech offers a wide variety of railing options to complement the deck products they offer.  They also offer an entire line of trim and accessory items to finish off your TimberTech deck.
