Canterbury / Canterbury Swoop

Like the Manchester, the Canterbury uses a stout 1-1/2” square picket with a pyramid picket cap.  However, the Canterbury differentiates itself from the Manchester by adding a third (mid) rail, and also alternates the heights of the pickets.  Available in heights of 3’ and 4’, Bufftech has also designed the “Canterbury Swoop”, which is a fences section that transitions downward at an angle from a 4’ height to a 3’ height.  These swooped sections can also be used as corner accents on your property, and are often used as backdrops for garden areas.
The Canterbury does NOT meet most Metro St. Louis swimming pool codes.  Although the picket spacing on either side of the short pickets is 1-9/16”, please note that above the short pickets (between the long pickets) is a spacing of 4-5/8”.  Not only could a small dog potentially get their collar caught around the short picket, but they could also possibly get through the 4-5/8” space.  Therefore, you may wish to consider a different vinyl fence style especially if the primary purpose of the fence is to keep your dogs contained.
